Ken Starr learned the art of making wine by his father's side in 1952. Today the romance and the talent are passing once again to Ken's son and his sons. When stationed in Europe in the early 60's, Ken appreciated the German style of wine making and has brought the Old World Ambiance to Curwensville.

Windgate Vineyards

An award-winning producer of fine regional wines. The winery, located in an Amish community in Indiana County, hosts events and wine tastings, has event spaces for private rental, lodging, and has several outlet stores.

Enjoy the delicious wines that are made after old country recipes from the local harvest, with an atmosphere of casual elegance. Kick your feet up, smoke a cigar and have a glass of your favorite wine with a well paired plate of cheese and fruit.

Raspberry Acres Winery

Raspberry Acres is a small winery that ferments wines on site. It is located on a 137 acre farm wich is very quit and a place to relax with nature. Our mascot is a yellow lab named “Bacchus”.
